Gun Safety

The necessity for guns has evolved over time and personal use and collection are no longer limited to hobbyists or hunters. Currently, safety standards are created and enforced on everything from securing a baby car seat to working on heavy equipment.  Why wouldn’t we want to do the same on items that are designed to have the power to not only protect, but to kill? I believe that it's time to take collaborative strides to develop responsible and accountable gun legislation to protect children, and reduce instances of suicide and gun violence. I am proud to have been awarded the 2024 Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate distinction as a candidate that will advocate for gun violence prevention and will advocate, when elected, with gun safety in mind.
